What a COA tells you
A certificate of analysis pairs a specific batch (lot number) to a purity measurement made by an independent lab. The headline is the purity column — usually expressed as a percentage on HPLC.
Red flags
- No batch number, or a batch number that doesn’t match the vial
- Lab logo missing or "internal QC" instead of an independent name
- One COA for every product, repeatedly reused
